Patients with acute rehabilitation potential following acute medical/surgical treatment from specialist departments including:

Trauma Surgery/Orthopaedics:

  • Multiple trauma
  • Extensive limb injuries
  • Pelvic injury
  • Spinal injury (surgical/conservative), joint-preserving/joint replacement surgery
  • Osteoplasty
  • Amputation
  • Spinal surgery
  • Persistent pain syndromes requiring inpatient treatment, etc.

Internal Medicine:

For example:

  • Cardiopulmonary disease following interventional cardiology
  • Gastroenterological disease
  • Late sequellae of diabetes
  • Vascular disease, etc.


For example:

  • Cerebral infarction
  • Brain haemorrhage
  • Craniocerebral injury
  • Brain tumour
  • Hypoxic brain damage
  • Meningitis with or without abscesses
  • Spinal cord damage following injury
  • Inflammation
  • Haemorrhage
  • Tumour surgery
  • Fractures/spontaneous fractures/vertebral osteolyses
  • Herniated intravertebral disc
  • Spinal canal stenosis
  • Polyneuritis, etc.

Heart Surgery:
