Chronic Respiratory Diseases Are Becoming Increasingly Common

Respiratory diseases are gaining in significance, with approximately 10 to 15% of adults suffering from asthma or chronic bronchitis. In the Pneumology Department, our specialists in respiratory tract and lung diseases use modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods to treat a wide variety of problems including:

An example of this is body plethysmography. Videobronchoscopy is available for endoscopy of the respiratory tract. Ergospirometry is a method that is also used in sports medicine and allows objective assessment of physical performance. Overall testing of the function of heart, circulation and muscles, as well as the lungs and oxygen transport, can be conducted with this method.
