Haematological Microscopy Course

Since 1991 the clinic has regularly offered a haematological microscopy course, which has been attended by international participants.

In order to be able to provide doctors and other haematology specialists with the best possible training to suit their level of knowledge, we offer the following courses:

24th March to 27th March 2014

Basic course in microscopy

28th March to 30th March 2014

Advanced course in microscopy

At the end of the basic course, participants will be able to analyse their own blood and bone marrow smears for the most common haematological diseases.

Further training points: 39 CME points

The advanced course builds on the content learnt in the basic course. Participation in the basic course is not a prerequisite for joining the advanced course, but a basic knowledge of haematological cytology is required. The main emphasis of the advanced course is on bone marrow smear diagnostics.

Further training points: 27 CME points

Both courses are certified by the European Haematology Association and are run under the umbrella of the German Society for Haematology and Oncology (DGHO). Alongside the course manual, which is updated annually, the course fee also includes an interactive CD-ROM. Given that the number of participants is limited, we recommend that register for these courses in good time.
